Currently...Acquiring: Wild Roses

So I'm currently "acquiring" Wild Roses season 1. It's a Canadian drama that just ended it's first season run and all I know is what I read on wikipedia. For some reason it's only been broadcast on CBC with no sign of international (or even stateside) distribution so I took the only route I knew to get it.

Anyone have any thoughts they'd like to share? The premise, rich taking advantage of poor, secret wealth probably dreamt of but unknown. Sounds like it could be good. The title card reminds me of Big Love, so that's a good sign.
