Fox 2009/2010 Schedule

Fox had it's upfront today and announced it's official Fall 2009 and Winter/Spring 2010 schedule. There's some ups, some downs, some really stupid, possibly show-killing moves, and not many surprises.

Good news is that "Lie To Me" will be paired up with "House" in the fall, which could be a decent boost for the show. The most awful move, in my book, is putting JJ Abram's sci-fi phenom "Fringe" up against wildly popular, more ingrained shows like "CSI", "The Office", "30 Rock", and "Grey's Anatomy". Talk about throwing a toddler into the swimming pool...Which is full of blood thirsty sharks.

No surprise, "Dollhouse" is sticking to it's Friday post but is being paired up "Til Death" and a new comedy. That certainly won't do a damn thing for ratings, but it won't hurt, either.

I was really hoping the networks new reincarnation/detective series, "Past Life", would be paired up with "Fringe", but no luck there. The Rich Schiff starring sci-fi series may get a boost from American Idol, though I don't think that really happened for "Fringe" this year. Seems like people either tuned into "Fringe" or not, no matter if AI was on. Those of us who did tune in (and despise AI as much as humanly possible) where driven near mad multiple times when the show was cut off on our DVR's by AI.
