Premiering Tonight: Mental

Fox kicks off it's summer programming this evening with the premiere of "Mental". The reviews I've read have been middling. The basic idea I've gathered from all the reviews is that it's trying to be "House" with less dark humor and more of a heart.

Reviewers have admitted, though, that the show would be a winner...If "House" wasn't around. That age old question about the chicken and the egg certainly does not apply: "House" definitely came before "Mental". It's a paradox, I suppose. "Mental" wouldn't exist without "House" but "Mental is only good in a universe without "House. My brain hurts now.
