Starbuck Joining Cast Of 24

Starbuck aka Kara Thrace aka Katee Sackhoff is joining the cast of 24's eighth season. EW's Michael Ausiello (who else?) broke the news that the Battlestar Galactica alum will be joining the cast as a CTU computer analyst. I was hoping the character would feature Starbuck's piss n' vinegar attitude but Ausiello says her character will be "a highly respected and down-to-earth data analyst".

Information on the eighth season of 24 has been leaking out since before season seven even ended when word came out that the next season would be taking place in New York City. Since then, we've also learned Anil Kapoor, the creepy game show host from Slumdog Millionaire, will be a star, Cherry Jones will be returning as the president, the character of FBI agent Renee Walker will make a come back and Freddie Prinze Junior will be running the New York CTU branch.

Ausiello also says Sackhoff's character will be in a relationship with Freddie Prinze Junior's.
