NBC Moves Kings To Saturday This Week

NBC's Kings popped up on my Scheduled Recordings list for Saturday 04-18-09 at 8pm. It's usual Sunday 8pm slot will be the second hour of Miss USA 2009, not a program known for high ratings. I'm wondering if this is a sign to come for the series. When running a special a network would usually give a series the week off, not move it to the junk yard of tv schedules.

While the show had the potential to be fantastic, it has fallen a bit short but I didn't think it was bad enough to shove over to quite possibly the worst slot for a tv show for a beauty pageant.

Saturday evenings tend to be filled with three types of shows: ones that are already cancelled with a few episodes left to run out, reruns of shows networks heads have big hopes for and are looking to bolster their numbers and shows that are about to be cancelled. We'll see which it is.

Speaking of cancelled shows with episodes left to air, ABC announced last week that they'll broadcast the final few episodes of this season's 3 axed series, Eli Stone, Pushing Daisies and Dirty Sexy Money. I'm glad they'll finally be back, if only for a short time, as I enjoyed all three. Pushing Daises returns May 30th, Eli Stone June 20th and Dirty Sexy Money July 18th. They'll air Saturday nights at 10pm.

Get them on iTunes: Kings, Eli Stone, Pushing Daisies, Dirty Sexy Money.
