I posted earlier saying it was possible and an official announcement was made soon after: Fox has renewed low rated but wildly loved on the internet Dollhouse. Good news for Mr. Joss Whedon, sci-fi impresario.
Word is the show will stick to it's Friday night slot for season 2. Ratings have been low but consistent and, hey, how much better can the network expect for a Friday night, right? Atleast the show has taken off on the internet. These days low TV ratings can be put aside for high ad-supported streaming (hulu, fox.com) and pay per download (itunes, amazon) numbers and potentially decent DVD sales. Don't forget international licensing, too.
