Preview: Heroes Season 4 Promo

Here we go folks: Welcome to a first look at season 4 of Heroes. Most exciting aspect? The addition of Prison Break's Robert Knepper as an evil Carnie leader. Probably not worth all the hype it's getting? Claire's sapphic college experiences. Glad to see Madeline Zima of Californication and The Nanny as her roommate, though.

We're hoping people start coming back to Heroes. Yeah, it faltered a bit the last two seasons or so, but those who stuck it out know that it was worth it and, hopefully, this next season the show will turn itself around, even if Bryan Fuller did bail.

Mad Men Season 3 Poster

Looks damn good, huh? What else is there to say? Mad Men is by far the most stylish show on television and it's no surprise that the poster created for the series' upcoming 3rd would also be stylish as all get out.

And while there's no new footage, here's a little promo for season 3 to get you by for now:

Mad Men returns, as the poster says, Sunday August 16th at 10pm on AMC.

P.S. We highly recommend clicking on the poster above to see the details up close in full size.

Preview: Vampire Diaries

The CW's bloody teen-soap Vampire Diaries is getting some good hype for it's coming fall premiere. With the success of all things vampire these days, I don't imagine much going wrong for all those involved. Around upfronts time the network released a few short clips but there's now an extended clip that's painting a broader (and better) view of the show.

My initial thoughts based on the clip? Early One Tree Hill with fangs. Dueling brothers in a small town, one good, one bad, cute girls, bad soundtrack, high school angst and even crows - they've got it all. And that's not a bad thing.

Also discovered today (via The Televixen), some sexy new ads for the show. The design is very CW, reminiscent of Gossip Girl and One Tree Hill ads from the past.

They are not, however, in the same format as other official CW ads for the 2009 Fall season, so no idea if they're fan work or legit. See what you think:

(Update: It's been confirmed, these are legit. 6/30/09)

Official:

Possibly Not Official:

And finally, the extended clip:

Preview: V

The more I'm hearing and seeing about V, the more excited I am. The show originally ran as a miniseries in 1983 and this remake is being dubbed a "limited run series". I'm assuming that means it'll be more than just a four hour movie split into two parts like most miniseries.

The cast is looking rather great, too. From the clips I've seen and imdb.com we can expect Scott Wolf of Party of Five, Smallville's Laura Vandervoort, Firefly/Serenity's Morena Baccarin, Joel Gretsch who's had two great sci-fi roles in the past with Steven Spielberg's Taken miniseries and USA network's hit The 4400, Lost's Elizabeth Mitchell, Alan Tudyk who's also a Firefly alum, Lourdes Benedicto from 24's second season and a host of others.

The CW Previews

Vampires, models and beautiful people converging on an apartment complex. Below we have a few clips from each of The CW's new shows for next season. Also supposedly the Gossip Girl spin-off isn't totally dead quite yet, which sort of ok, considering last week's test run on Gossip Girl wasn't nearly as bad as I thought it would be. I was glad at the time that the entire episode wasn't dedicated to the spin off, like some shows do, but even Lilly's 80's flashback weren't half bad.

The previews:

Vampire Diaries
These clips are kinda short and don't really show much of anything.

The Beautiful Life
Vicious models, pill popping, hot beats, limo, flashing lights, NYC - all packed into just two little minutes. We'll how it stretches to an hour.

Melrose Place
I'm usually the last one to point this sort of thing out, but these three clips are full of some terrible acting. I tend to be rather forgiving in this area for most shows as long as the story is good, but I definitely don't see that here.

Cougar Town Preview

My previous posts have been pretty down on Cougar Town, mainly just because of the name. It's pretty terrible. This clip, though, is pretty entertaining. I always tend to forget how good Courtney Cox is until I see her on screen again.

This definitely looks alot more mainstream than "Dirt", which is not necessarily a bad thing. The clips brought forth a few thoughts of "Desperate Housewives" with out the overly soapy murders and mystery aspects...Kinda like if DH character Susan were given her own spin off.
